With the Hollywood Costume exhibition due to kick off at the V&A in a week or so, Grazia Daily's thoughts have turned to magical fashion moments on the silver screen. Seriously, has there ever been a more iconic dress than the green gown Keira Knightley wore in Atonement? Or how about Marilyn Monroe's flirty white dress in The Seven Year Itch? And of course there's Dorothy's gorgeously sparkly red shoes...
We can expect to see more than 100 costumes on display at the exhibition, which chronicles a century of Hollywood filmmaking. We know Kate Winslet's ladylike ensembles from Titanic will be there as well as Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow gear and today it's been announced that another of Keira's iconic costumes will be on view.
If you've seen the recent adaptation of Anna Karenina, you'll know each and every one of Keira's gowns in the film are jaw-droppingly lavish - but The Chosen One is this sumptuous burgundy creation from costume designer Jacqueline Durran. The actress joined Jacqueline at a photocall today to unveil the gown complete with ruffle-y bustle and mega pouffy skirt. We cannot wait to see it in the flesh.
Come to think of it, Keira's donned many a dramatic costume for her art - ones which we're itching to see again and again. So let's indulge our whims and take a look back at her top 10 fashion moments on film, all in the gallery above.
The Hollywood Costume exhibition at the V&A exhibition opens on October 20
