Just yesterday we saw the Duchess of Cambridge in a pretty wool Paule Ka skirt suit as she and Prince William launched a scholarship for law students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their name at the Middle Temple Treasury - and didn't she look delectable for her first post-bottomless-pics-appearance? The unanimous answer was yes!
Today, Kate is back for an appearance at St George's Park in Burton Upon Trent with members of the England football team for the opening of the Football Associations National Fooball Centre. Now that is an engagement the Graziettes wouldn't mind doing! So what's she wearing? A ladylike Reiss Coat clinched by a buckled belt, a simple black clutch and a pair of black knee high boots over cosy tights. Frank Lampard certainly looks impressed.
Is The Duchess Reiss' biggest fan?
It's no secret Kate is a fan of recycling past season looks and today's ensemble is no different. In fact, this Angel fit and flare coat comes from Reiss' Autumn Winter 2010 collection and was a worthy investment at £325. As for that Betony belt, it also comes courtesy of Reiss - this time from the Brit brand's spring summer 2009 collection, costing £69 at the time. Very thrifty, yes, but not great news for those copy-Kates who will be itching to replicate the look. But! You can get similiar styles at www.reiss.com, from this luxurious wool-blend coat with asymmetric buttons for £265 to Reiss' funnel neck coat in ink for £325.
Reiss' repli-Kate coats
Kate's coat is just the latest in a long line of Reiss numbers showcased by the down-to-earth Duchess. Who could forget when Kate gave her first ever speech wearing her mother's blue frock from the Brit brand? She also chose a touch of Reiss to meet the Obamas at Buckingham Palace last May and attended the Epsom Derby sporting another purse-friendly dress from the high street hero. And most impressively, she recycled the white Nanette dress which she wore for her official engagement photograph by wearing it a second time on Canada Day. It's no wonder Reiss posted a near doubling in profits last year.
So what outfit will Kate crack out next? The Royal couple are continuing their North East tour this week, although sadly William has had to cancel his appointments for tomorrow in Newcastle as he must attend the funeral of his former Nanny, Olga Powell, leaving K-Middy to go it alone. We think she'll do a bloomin' good job, don't you?
