Jennifer Lopez FROW'd At Chanel & Appeared On TV With Karl Lagerfeld - Has Chanel Got A New Muse?

Until last week’s Chanel show, we never realised that Jennifer Lopez and Karl Lagerfeld were fashion pals. He loves music, she loves fashion… we don’t know why this wasn’t made clear much earlier on. So before we skip another beat we’d like to put forward a proposal first: that J-Lo could be Karl’s next muse.

We all know K-Lag’s obsessions tend to come in the form of young hipsters or Choupette le chat, but could it be time for a switch up? She did look mighty fine in that frothy little Chanel frock on the front row, and she’s killing it on her Dance Again tour… Just saying.

Fash friends J Lo and Karl get pally on German TV

Take a moment to watch the video below of the pair on German prime time talk show Wetten Dass. Can you see the love? Herr Lagerfeld almost elbows the orderly queue out to welcome Lopez to the stage (after a slight pencil-skirt-stair-climbing challenge), then announces “Ahh *fashion kisses* we missed each other!” he explained of the lost chance to see each other at the Chanel show, “But it was impossible, eh?” “I know.” Jennifer replies, “Your shows are crazy! Everybody there is crazy!” “You look great!” Exclaims Lagerfeld in return, despite the fact that J-Lo is wearing a Zuhair Murad frock and not a creation made by the monochrome master himself. But that folks, is about as good as the interview gets. As the awkward German translation and the questions about Marc Antony kick in, you’ll be mega-cringing in your desk chair.

Back to thinking about this potentially winning partnership... Jennifer’s petit Emme – who debuted on the Chanel FROW wearing $2140 of the good stuff – could work a nice mother/daughter shoot together for Chanel. That in itself is a rather French idea. Or maybe we’ll find Karl’s next collection full of inspiration from ‘the block’ days – crop tops, baggy pants, high heeled Tims? We guess we’ll just have to wait and see… and hope.
