News just in: Tom Ford has a baby! It's just been announced that the designer has had a son with long-term partner Richard Buckley, who he's been in a relationship with for the past 25 years. LOVE Magazine broke the news on Twitter and a picture of a birth announcement is doing the rounds, suggesting that Alexander John Buckley Ford was born in Los Angeles on September 23rd, 2012. Aw!
Shock of the day / month / year? Yes. But we should hardly be surprised considering the 51-year-old Mr Ford is notoriously private and recently said he would keep any offspring he has a secret. 'I always said I wanted to have children,' he told New York Magazine. 'And as I got a little bit older, Richard, who I live with – we’ve been together 24 years – did not want children. And so I decided not to have children. But if I have children, no one will know about it until the child is born. And no one will ever see the child because I certainly wouldn’t use it as a press tool. If I have a child, you won’t notice that I had a child. Maybe you’ll see it when it’s 18, but I will keep it out of the spotlight.' We can't wait to see the inevitably dapper Alexander gracing the cover of Vogue Paris in eighteen years...
