Last night Grazia Daily reported on Lady Gaga’s arrival at a private dinner held in her honour by Donatella Versace to which she wore a red vintage dress by Gianni Versace. The Italian-American pop star joined her Italian designer pal in the Palazzo Versace on Via Gesù in Milan - and they made one hell of a glamorous pairing! Gaga's figure hugging floor length gown complemented her voluminous tumbling curls lending the singer a true Italiano vibe.
Fast-forward a couple of hours and Lady G made a very drastic change into another Versace dress and whipped on a long blonde wig. Leaning over the Palazzo balcony with Donatella, who'd also changed into a second Versace look, the star created the perfect photo opportunity as she copied the designer’s signature style. Sandwiched between them as they threw roses to their fans was another blonde - Fozzi Bear, the Haus of Gaga's pet dog.
Lady Gaga is known for her love of dressing up and getting into character. Last year at the VMAs she performed as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone and her music videos showcase a veritable smörgåsbord of her acting talents - but still you've got to wonder what Donatella thinks about her new doppelgänger. Admittedly she's not the first designer to have a muse carved in her own image. Karl Lagerfeld is often spotted walking side by side with male model Baptiste Giabiconi (rumoured former flame of Katy Perry) and the catwalk star clearly shares Chanel's Creative Director's love of a high collar, skinny black trousers, black boots and OTT jewellery.
We also reckon bessie mates Henry Holland and Agyness Deyn could pass as brother and sister, Stella McCartney's chic yummy mummy look blends in a treat with her fashwan friends Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow and Tom Ford's A Single Man star Nicholas Hoult is a regular chip off the old fashion block. Especially when he's dressed head to toe in the designer's own tuxedos of course!
