Kate Middleton Is The Royal Recycler! See The Duchess' Repeat Outfits From Alexander McQueen Dresses To Her Smythe Blazer

30 September 2012 by

So, we know that Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge, is a woman of multiple talents - in the past year she's been spotted indulging in various sports including planting trees, ironing, cooking, shaking hands and playing hockey. And it appears that Kate's clothes are equally multi-talented. Kate is famous for her wardrobe re-mixes, and in spite of the revelation that Prince Charles spent £32,870 on his daughter-in-law's wardrobe in six months, Kate has certainly made most of her clothing work hard for her.

The Duchess' most recent repeat came this weekend when she watched her father Michael walk family friend Thierry Kelaart down the aisle during a ceremony in Oxfordshire. Fresh from her tour of the Far East, she looked as elegant as ever in the very same long-sleeved Erdem dress that we first saw for Trooping The Colour in June [below].

In fact, did you know that since she became engaged to William, Kate has only twice worn something new to someone else's wedding? Yep, it seems it's not just her frugal nature that inspires her to re-wear her wardrobe classics; not upstaging the bride makes her a VERY good guest.

From those brocade coats - the Day Birger et Mikkelson cream brocade number, and the Jane Troughton periwinkle blue style, through to her gorgeous McQueen lace dresses and Diane Von Furstenburg silk shifts, Kate has been spotted out and about in many of her most famous pieces more than once. So we've compiled all of Kate's repeated dresses, separates and coats for you in one mega gallery.

Click through to see exactly how the DoC looks flawless in her re-worked wardrobe. But as for how she keeps things looking so new? On that score, unfortunately we can't help.
