Happy 40th Birthday Gwyneth Paltrow! Let's Celebrate With A Look At Your Style Evolution

Take a break from the yoga mat and pick up a piece of gluten-free cake, because we've got a reason to celebrate. Gwyneth Paltrow, the award-winning actress with the best pins in Hollywood, turns 40 today!

If there's one lady who proves you CAN get sexier with age, it's our Gwyn. Only recently, she became the new face of Max Factor and she's gone from strength to strength on the silver screen too. Since making her movie debut in 1991 (Shout, anyone?), she's scooped an Oscar Award, had two babies, launched a lifestyle website and nailed an all-singing, all-dancing appearance on Glee. Her first lead role was in Emma back in 1996 (how we loved those costumes!), then came Sliding Doors and the glorious Shakespeare in Love. We sigh.

As for her style hits, let's cast our minds back to those matchy-matchy days with Brad Pitt. And can you remember that princess gown stage she went through when dating Ben Affleck? We can. Then came a sleeker, leggier aesthetic when she became Mrs Chris Martin and pal'd up with mega designers Stella McCartney and Tom Ford. No wonder she was crowned People magazine's best dress woman in the WORLD!

But that's not all. After starring as as Pepper Pots alongside Robert Downey Jr. (yum) in The Avengers, she's taken a role as spokeswoman for Stand Up To Cancer which has seen her talking about her beloved father, Bruce Paltrow, who died of cancer in 2002. What's more, the actress has taken a strong stance in support of President Barack Obama, hosting a victory fund dinner alongside Anna Wintour just last week. Yep, talented actress, mother AND world-saving superwoman? Move over Angelina.

So how will Gwynnie celebrate the big 4-0? With a Coldplay sing-a-long? A few pints with Stella and Madge? Grazia Daily is celebrating with a look back at Lady Goop's finest fashion moments, so sit back with that super-healthy cake and take a look through the gallery above...
