Gwyneth Paltrow Glams Up In White Tom Ford Dress To Support President Obama

Americans do love their politics, don’t they? Especially if it means that they can throw a ruddy big party. And, with the presidential election coming up in November, there have been no shortage of celebrities ready to back President Obama for re-election as he battles it out against Republican Mitt Romney.

First in line to host a massive fundraising dinner last night in London was one Mrs Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwynnie hosted the event at Mark’s club and she even managed to rally some pretty famous faces to join her. From Cameron Diaz (wearing Emilia Wickstead's pink jumpsuit, no less) to Tom Ford and even Anna Wintour, her A-list pals showed up to lend their support to Obama. What we wouldn’t have given to be a fly on THAT wall...

Gwyneth was the ultimate hostess with the mostess, looking utterly gorgeous in a white long sleeve double georgette dress from the Tom Ford Collection. After winning major fashion kudos for sporting a form-fitting white gown by the US designer for the Oscar Awards earlier this year, it's no surprise she's back to his sartorial charms.

And if this wasn’t enough, across the pond in New York Jay-Z and Beyonce were also doing their bit for the President by throwing him ANOTHER fundraiser at Jay’s 40/40 club. Obama even went himself and was pictured having a right old laugh with the super-star pair. Whilst they might seem like an unlikely coupling, he recently explained his friendship with the rap mogul saying, ‘We both have daughters, and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard, but it's okay.’ Oh Barack, you do make us lol.
