Our airport ensembles usually consist of jeans and a hoody, but when you're married to the future King of England loungewear just won't cut the mustard. Kate Middleton arrived at Brisbane Airport en route home from her Jubilee tour of the Far East wearing Project D London. Although the brand is based in London, one half of the designer duo who created the Penelope dress is Aussie pop star Dannii Minogue who set up the label with her bessie mate Tabitha Somerset Webb. This is not the first time a Middleton has been spotted in one of Dannii and Tabitha's pieces as Grazia Daily reported back in July that Kate's little sis Pippa wore the Project D London Phoebe Bluebird Peplum dress to watch Andy Murray play at Wimbledon.
Kate's Project D London dress has an invisible zipper, turn-up sleeve and a pleated skirt with a separate waist tie. She wore it with her L.K. Bennett nude pumps, which she kept on later when she changed into jeans, a white top and a Temperley London Lotus Leopard Print Scarf from the Autumn Winter 2012 collection while she waited for her connecting flight. Not quite a hoody, but slightly more long haul-friendly!
These two final airport looks draw a close to Kate's Jubilee tour wardrobe, which has featured pieces from some of Kate's favourite British brands including Alexander McQueen, Erdem and Alice Temperley. Not sure what we're going to do to fill this Duchess of Cambridge filled hole in our day now that Kate and William are returning home, but stay tuned as we bring you news of their next royal engagement.
