We brought you the long-awaited and much-rumoured-about pictures of Lana Del Rey posing in the H&M campaign earlier this year, and now at loooong last we’ve got our greedy paws on the campaign video. Yes!
Watch the video below to see the sultry songstress singing Bobby Vinton’s Blue Velvet to an adoring male while wearing that gorgeous pastel sweater. We then see Lana being hypnotised by a man in a floral printed top and leather skirt, after which the FROW-frequenting singer phones a friend dressed in grey a tweed jacket while using a very retro looking telephone. And that’s all before a mean little man in a suit pulls the plug on her microphone, ruining her fun, though judging by her cheeky grin at the end we reckon she doesn’t mind too much. Check it out for yourselves:
There's a backstage video too. We get to see all the work that goes into a huge campaign like this – from building the sets to handpainting the actual art hanging up in the background. Now that IS attention to detail. We wonder if Lana took one home? Or was creeped out by those Lana-look-a-likes? Either way, LDR looks totally unflappable as she chimes away while being dragged along on a wooden pulley, all the while modelling the winter looks to perfection. Ever the professional!
