Kate Middleton Wears A Yellow Eyelet Dress By An Independent Designer In Honiara

18 September 2012 by

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the airport in Honiara today in order to depart for Tuvalu, the final stop on their official tour of Asia. And what a tour it's been! We've seen Kate wear a succession of beautiful catwalk pieces, including dresses by Prabal Gurung, Alexander McQueen, Mulberry and Erdem. But as much as the DoC as experimented with different designers, she has stuck to certain style rules during her trip, choosing lightweight cotton pieces to cool endure the soaring temperatures as well as favouring colourful, tropical prints from this Jonathan Saunders Evelyn cotton dress to a batik pink and orange strapless design from a local boutique.

Today the Duchess is wearing a dress that we're told by Rebecca English on twitter is by an independent dressmaker. It has a belt around the waist, full short sleeves and looks almost like a combination of the two frocks Kate wore yesterday. Firstly its yellow like her Jaeger shirt dress, although quite a few shades lighter, and it includes primrose eyelets which are similar to the Broderie Anglaise design of the 'Nightshade Blue' dress from Mulberry’s Spring Summer 2012 collection.

Once again Kate wore her Stuart Weitzman Minx wedges and Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop earrings. The DoC has obviously learnt from past mistakes and styled her hair in an elegant up do while avoiding tights altogether. Even her usually picture perfect locks have struggled in the humidity that she has experienced over the last eight days!
