Grazia Daily reported earlier how the Duchess of Cambridge wore a colourful Jonathan Saunders dress for her arrival in the Solomon Islands. Now Kate has stepped out in something even punchier and tropical, a dress she reportedly only tried on two hours before she was due to wear it. The DoC and Prince William attended a reception and dinner under the stars hosted by the Governor General at his private residence and they looked like a couple of glowing honeymooners in their matchy-matchy printed ensembles. Kate paired her strapless pink frock with a chic pair of tanned wedges. No news yet on whether her outfit was the work of a local designer, but stay tuned as we'll be filling you in on all the details as we get them.
UPDATE: Apparently Kate's pink and orange batik dress came from a shop on the Solomon Islands which is rather aptly named 'Print'. She changed out of her Jonathan Saunders dress just an hour before the banquet after the locally designed garment was given to her as a gift by her hosts for the evening. As you've probably guessed, William's shirt was also a present from government officials. What a contrast to the sharp formal wear the couple wore earlier in the day.
