Did we miss something? Have the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge signed up for the new series of 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'? By the looks of these pictures the royal couple are preparing to undertake their first Bushtucker Trial. Are Ant and Dec waiting for them at the end of the canopy bridge? Perhaps not. But William and Kate did endure a wilderness challenge of sorts today as they entered the Borneo rainforest as part of their official tour of South East Asia. Despite learning only yesterday that a French magazine is publishing topless photographs of Kate on holiday in France, the couple looked relaxed (well as relaxed as you can be when hoisted up a 130ft tree by ropes) as they explored the Danum Valley research centre in the capital state of Sabah.
There wasn't a pair of nude L.K.Bennett court shoes in sight as Kate transformed from fairy tale princess to dressed down Duchess for the excursion. She wore a pair of khaki trousers and a simple blouse with sturdy hiking boots to navigate the forest floor and treetop walkway. The humidity of the rainforest should have played havoc with that famous do, but the curls that have been the trademark of Kate's trip remained intact, while her make-up was kept to a minimal completing her fresh and natural look.
The royal couple smiled and posed for photos as they dangled in harnesses above the rainforest. Of course Kate's never been one to shy away from tackling non-princessy activities. We reported on her woodland wardrobe in June when she took a walk through the Kent countryside in jeans and wellies. Although the rainforest is a little more of an exotic location, once again the DoC delivered. We wonder if she channelled Meryl Streep in 'Out Of Africa'.
Stay tuned for today’s updates from Asia as they happen… and in the meantime, check out Grazia's Kate Middleton Look Book.
