Owens shot by Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent

It seems Hedi Slimane is a real fash-tease, as we approach his much anticipated debut catwalk show for Yves Saint Laurent in Paris – just three weeks away! The creative director of the newly named Saint Laurent (have you seen the new logo yet?) first of all gave us a glimpse of what we can expect from his accessories line, when Gwyneth Paltrow debuted a mink coloured leather holdall especially designed just for her. Lucky GP! And today we got a teaser for his first campaign, which will consist of fifteen shots photographed by the man himself, Slimane. The first we’ve seen is an obscured portrait of Girls frontman Christopher Owens, topless and mid-recline on some very opulent looking velvet cushions.

Stefano Pilati's final collection for Yves Sain Laurent shot by David Sims

Though the campaign doesn’t actually show any of the new collection (sheesh, thanks a lot Hedi),we do get a glimpse at the new, tougher mood (standard Slimane Rock n'Roll) we expect to see from Stefano Pilati's replacement, as well as the fabulous new logo , with its already controversial legacy, in all its glory! What a contrast from the feminine yet austere look we remember from Pilati's spring summer 2012 campaign for the French label. What do you think of this teaser pic, are you excited for Hedi Slimane’s YSL debut? Let us know below!
