When we saw this stunning Tommy Ton lensed New York Fashion Week snap appear on Style.com this morning, we realised it was about time you had a proper introduction to the women who are shaping the hottest FROW on planet fashion. They’re pals, they’re properly well-dressed and theeir wardrobes are brimming so fantastically with new season buys they put the shop floor of Barney’s to shame. So here’s a who’s who on this beautiful bunch. They certainly seek to quash the fashion tittering that print could possibly be dead…. 1: ELENA PERMINOVA

Sometime model, total hotcake, girlfriend and baby momma of Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev. And we are fascinated by her background; the Russian beauty lived a dangerous life in her formative years as a drug distributor. Now as a fashion power-house – decked in everything from the latest Balenciaga, Chloe and Yves Saint Laurent right through to some of London’s and the globe’s most underground labels, she’s not afraid to hit the highest fashion heights. Take this belly-baring short suit as a good example.

2: MICHELLE VIOLY HARPER

Move over Gaga and take a hike Daphne Guinness, there’s another avant garde icon in town. This gal is a New York party staple and getting snapped up for cover shoots all over the shop, but more impressively, she’s a brand consultant and the founder of a multi-million pound cosmetic company. All that and she pulls off an undercut more convincingly than Lisbeth Salander.

4: MIROSLAVA DUMA

This little piece of cute stuff is a stylist and also fashion bezzies with numero uno on this list, Elena Perminova. Miroslava is the daughter of Russian senator and was once a fashion editor at Russia’s Harper’s Bazaar. We’re always keen-as-mustard to see her petite fashion creations like this Marni dress paired with her favourite Louboutins – Dombasle. She trailblazed – along with friends and designers Vika Gazinskya and Ulyana Sergeenko  – the dollyish headscarf trend a few seasons back.

5: ANYA ZIOUROVA

Another Russianista, Anya is the more pared-back of the crew, despite this bold skirt and jacket from Proenza Schouler’s latest collection. The fringed fashion plate will most likely be found rocking some monochrome tailoring, a major pout and mega heels. She was once a newbie at American Vogue, but now holds the mantle of Fashion Director of Russian Tatler.

6: ANNA DELLO RUSSO

OK, Vogue Nippon’s editrix doesn’t exactly need an introduction. It’s ADR’s week, with her H&M accessories collectionbeing revealed. She’s duly rocking it already for NYFW, we're particularly keen on her oodles of sunshine-y gold and turquoise. Divine, as per!

7: GIOVANNA BATTAGLIA

The Italian Prada-clad lovely is editor of L'Uomo Vogue, a contributing fashion editor to W magazine and one half of a very beautiful couple with Carine Roitfeld’s son, Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld. Giovanna is chic with a capital C and always super-smart, even in a denim skirt and basic t-shirt. Helps that she is BEYOND gorgeous, of course!
