Karlie Kloss Kookies At New York Fashion Week: Fashionably Wholesome

As our New York Fashion Week fun continues, it's hard to overstate quite how major Karlie Kloss is this side of the pond. Sure, we all adore the mid-Western beauty and we're super-excited to see her hosting House of Style, but in the US of A, Karlie is Cindy Crawford 2.0. So at yesterday's DKNY show, when we were treated to a little box of Karlie's Kookies, our interest was piqued.

Gluten free, and 'fashionably wholesome', Karlie's Perfect 10 cookies aren't, however, evidence of a new stream of income for the leggy lovely. Instead all proceeds of the oatmeal chocolate chip biscuits at $5 a pop are set to go to FEED - the foundation set up by Lauren Bush Lauren. In fact, for every cookie sold, 10 school meals will be provided for hungry children around the world.

At Fashion's Night Out last week in New York, 20-year-old Karlie told reporters, "I wanted to create a cookie that I could enjoy and that I could share with all my friends without, I don't know, worrying about the guilt of a cookie. I torture everyone with my cooking, I love to bake. Its vegan, gluten free, and is made with almonds, oats, dark chocolate, olive oil.  No butter, no sugar– totally fashion week friendly."

Karlie also says that Whole Foods would be the ultimate retailer to stock her tasty treats. And we can personally testify Karlie's Kookies are not just philanthropic, with their perfect chocolate to chewy ratios, they are also ridiculously delicious!
