'I've always admired film director and actress Sofia Coppola's distinctive sense of style, she keeps things simple yet always stands out. Minimal tailoring and a basic colour palette both play significant parts in her signature look, however the former muse (and friend) of Marc Jacobs doesn’t shy away from a jaw-dropping frock when the occasion calls for it. Sofia sticks to what suits her, and is as likely to be seen on the red carpet in a pair of flats and she is her favourite ankle strap heels, which I love. Like all true tastemakers, I can't quite put my finger on what makes Sofia so fabulous, I can but admire from afar!'

'Olivia Palermo is my style Icon. Her sense of fashion and style is stunning and effortless; every look is so well put together from head to toe. Whether she is going to a fashion show or just out and about in New York, she always gets it right and I love how she can work high street brands like Topshop and Mango into her wardrobe, which makes her current and accessible to every girl. Her clothes are classic, never controversial, she just loves really good style which is what I relate and inspire too.'

'While my style is a little more feminine and classic, I'm ever so inspired by Freja Beha's style. I adore her androgynous and simple approach to fashion, plus the fact that she always remains true to her personal style. Much like myself, black and grey are her usual colours of choice when putting together an outfit - she really shows that despite only wearing neutral colours, by mixing an interesting range of textures and shapes you can still create a beautiful and far from boring outfit.'

'I turn to things like Tumblr and Pinterest for style inspiration and I find myself constantly repinning and reblogging images of Rosie Huntington-Whitely. She is, in essence, my "go-to" girl; whether I want to put together a look for an event or just a trip to the shops! Her style resonates with me like no other contemporary icon, and it's not just because she's a supermodel. She dresses elegantly, but channels just the right amount of edge to make even the most classic outfits look modern. An icon, for me, is not just about style, it takes much more. From her appearances in campaigns for Burberry, Marks and Spencer and Victoria Secret, Rosie embodies what I admire in an icon - confidence, empowerment and drive. All together it makes for that oh- so- French brand of easy chic!'

'My style icon is Caroline Sieber, mega celeb stylist and all-round fashion it girl. I love Caroline’s impeccably chic but girly style and find myself wanting to emulate all of her outfits. She really knows how to put together a look, taking quite simple elements and pairing them with interesting items. I love her use of prints and tailoring, especially when she uses a printed blazer to add a bit of fun to a casual day look. Here, I paired a printed blazer with some patterned trousers for a full on clash.'

'When I consider style icons of 2012, there is one celebrity figure who really stands out for me and that has to be Solange Knowles. Beyonce's little sister is always so adventurous with her fashion choices and does not seem to be afraid of playing with colour, mixing prints and sometimes showing a little skin ;) She is also easy for me to relate to, as we both share our passion for wearing our natural afro hair and overall, I get the impression that Solange does not take herself or her style too seriously.  That's my kinda girl!'

'I’m inspired on a daily basis by other style bloggers but the one who always challenges me to work my wardrobe the hardest is Blair from Atlantic Pacific. This girl knows how to put an outfit together! Her use of colour, texture and print is pure genius – she makes some really bold choices but they always come together to form a seamless look. I’d bought this pink jacket from Zara with a view to possibly taking it back but later on that week I saw Blair feature it in a post – the fashion fates had decided…the jacket was staying!'

'I have been true to my style icon for years, ever since she first graced our TV screens in The Hills. Yes that's right, it's no other than LC. The reason she is my style icon is that she teams together casual, everyday garments but adds a quirky styling to her outfits. She's spotted in little jersey skirts and cool tee's, yet for red carpet events, she pulls of elegant, classy evening dresses. She manages to look bang on trend and super stylish at all times, even when wearing dungaree style shorts and a baggy grey vest! When I need daily fashion inspiration, she is the first person I style stalk!'
