Grazia Daily has just got wind of exciting news that Natalie Massenet, the entrepreneur behind one of the most profitable and successful fashion e-commerce sites, Net-A-Porter, will shortly be announced as Harold Tillman’s successor as the new chairman of the British Fashion Council.

Tillman in his four year reign at the BFC has had massive success – most notably by ensuring London Fashion Week is such an internationally recognized hub of talent and creativity – through securing large sponsorship deals and bringing important British designers like Burberry back to show in London.

According to the Business of Fashion, who asked the BFC to comment, Massenet’s position has not yet been confirmed. “Despite rumours, the BFC has confirmed that any new chairman is subject to BFC executive board approval. The BFC executive board is not due to meet until tomorrow evening and any announcement cannot be expected until then.”

Obviously we’re beyond excited that such a successful entrepreneur with such impressive business savvy will continue to make big waves in the industry, but now with more focus on British fashion. Congratulations (in advance!) Natalie, bring on the BFC!
