Anna Dello Russo's 'Fashion Shower' Video For H&M: What Can We Expect?

04 September 2012 by

It's exactly a month now until we can get our hands, fingers, wrists and necks on flamboyant fashionista Anna Dello Russo's accessories collection for H&M. As if to whet our appetite WWD have revealed that the high-street retailer will be releasing 'Fashion Shower', a song and music video featuring ADR herself this week. The Italian fashion editor had previously posted a shorter version of the electro-pop song on her blog in May. It was produced by J Emiliano Pepe for Italian station Radio Deejay and features the lyrics 'Fashion is always uncomfortable. When you get comfortable, you never get the look.' ADR knows a thing or two about getting the look!

The extended promo has been shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (UPDATE: apparently'Fashion Shower' was directed by Alex Turvey not Mert & Marcus, although they shot the stills campaign) and styled by George Cortina and although it's not intended as a campaign film we're assuming ADR will appear dripping in her collection for H&M, which includes gold cuffs and necklaces and turquoise minaudières. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the full clip, but until then here are a few of our favourite ADR videos and some predictions for what 'Fashion Shower' might include.

1. Will there be a wind machine?

In 'The Edge Of Glory' ADR can be seen dancing in a cage to Lady Gaga's hit song while wearing a thigh-skimming yellow Fausto Puglisi dress, Versace boots and a Moschino hat. A helpful assistant holds a hairdryer in front of her to act as a wind machine which she quickly shoos away. Genius!

2. Will there be animals?

For this Versace for H&M video ADR posed in the collection alongside a bear, crocodile, elephant and Dalmatian. All perfectly normal.

3. Will she wear a wig?

We have no idea what's going on here. There's Father Christmas, a dog dressed up as Father Christmas, a leopard rug and ADR in a massive wig. Great socks Santa!
