Alber Elbaz In His New Job...As Macaroon Designer! Lanvin And Ladureé Collaborate To Create Pink Bubblegum Macaroons!

It pleases us no end that the sweetest man in fashion should make his foray into the world of confectionery, just in time for Paris fashion week! Alber Elbaz, the suited and booted talent behind Lanvin, has collaborated with French macaroon house Ladurée to create his very own pink bubblegum flavour along with Ladurée pastry chef Vincent Lemains, presented in a beautifully illustrated Lanvin box with grosgrain ribbon tie.

This meeting of minds (and sweeties) is a match made in heaven, the classiest confectionary company and Parisian institution with one of France’s most treasured and respected fashion houses.

Alber has been making headlines-a-plenty in recent weeks, especially with the release of his latest campaign images, featuring real women, one of which was an 82 year old grandmother as campaign stars, and now is the latest in a long line of carefully selected designers to collaborate with Ladureé…following in the footsteps of Christian Louboutin, Sonia Rykiel, John Galliano, Marni, Christian Lacroix and Alexis Mabille.

We can expect the bubblegum delicacies to make it to the Ladureé London stores at the end of September. The countdown is ON!
