New York Fashion Week Is About To Begin! Our Predictions For The Shows, The FROWS, The Debuts And The Parties

GALLERY >> What Team Grazia Are Looking Forward To

The Grazia team are T-minus four days from jetting off to New York for the beginning of Fashion Month - and we're busy planning our outfits, dry cleaning our finery, treating ourselves to new notebooks and reserving good seats for the flight over!

To build the anticipation, we've gathered together our insider predictions and here's what we're SO excited about at NYFW this season.

Scroll through the gallery for our jam-packed guide to Spring Summer 2013, Big Apple style...

1. The Shows We're Taking About

The show I'm most excited about is ALTUZARRA. Last season’s military gypsy collection was a tour de force in statement-making wearability so I’m awaiting his spring offering with bated breath.

1. The Shows We're Taking About

I can’t wait to see 10 Crosby by 3.1 Phillip Lim. I've been watching the brand since it launched a few seasons ago and am super excited as it is being stocked exclusively at my-wardrobe.

- Lily Russo, Grazia’s Shopping Editor

2. Who We Want To See On The FROW

I always keep my eyes peeled for my blogger girl-crushes Rumi Neely and Elin Kling – between them they could open the coolest shoe boutique in the world!

- Katherine Ormerod, Grazia’s Senior Fashion News and Features Editor

2. Who We Want To See On The FROW

My favourite FROW-ers are always the girls not afraid to shock or surprise as there’s always so much over-polished fluff at the NY shows. My eye will be looking out for new rock royalty like Josephine de la Baume , Mary Charteris , Leigh Lezark and Oh Land. You can also always rely on Jenne Lombardo (the executive director of Mac & Milk) to have her finger firmly on the pulse.

- Andrew Holden, Grazia’s Senior Contributing Editor in New York

3. The Models Who'll Own The Runways

Look out for a Dutch invasion including Elza Luijendijk (who just singlehandedly starred in the Versace campaign) and Stef van der Laan. Other girls rocking the runway are Zuzannah Bijoch from Poland, Julia Nobis from Australia and Kati Nescher from Russia. All three of them racked up around 25 shows each last season in NY alone!

- Andrew Holden, Grazia’s Senior Contributing Editor in New York

4. The NYFW Debut

Obviously all eyes will be on the former Mrs Cruise, Katie Holmes who is [a target="_blank" href="/fashion/archive/2012/07/05/katie-holmes-to-show-her-fashion-line-at-new-york-fashion-week-for-the-first-tim.htm">showing her collection Holmes & Yang on schedule[/a] for the first season.

- Katherine Ormerod, Grazia’s Senior Fashion News and Features Editor

5. The Beauty Trends To Try

We’re most excited about Derek Lam, Rag & Bone, DVF and Victoria Beckham (because we get to see her and hopefully Harper backstage!). These shows always have the best, most wearable beauty looks.

- Rose Beer, Grazia’s Beauty Writer.

6. The Most Anticipated Party!

The Opening Ceremony 10th Anniversary party is definitely top of my list – ALL of NYC’s cool kids will be hanging out at Webster Hall this Sunday with Chloe Sevigny, Dakota Fanning and Erin Wasson just a small sampling of the big name hosts.

- Katherine Ormerod, Grazia’s Senior Fashion News and Features Editor

7. The One To Watch...

This season I’m going to be keeping my eye on Marissa Webb’s debut. As the former Womenswear designer at JCrew, there’ll be sure to be plenty of wearable pieces.
