When your wedding guest list reads like the front row of a Chanel catwalk presentation you know it's going to be one hell of a fashionable affair. And so it was when 24-year-old model and niece of Daphne Guinness Lady Mary Charteris married musician Robbie Furze on Saturday at Stanway House in Gloucestershire. We're pretty sure that the picturesque Coswolds estate didn't know what hit it as style icon after style icon arrived en masse to celebrate the nuptials.
As well as the bride's glamorous aunty Daphne Guinness, attendees included model siblings Cara and Poppy Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger with mum Jerry Hall in tow, musicians Florence Welch and a pregnant Lily Allen, and actors and former flames Jaime Winstone and Alfie Allen.
While all the guests were suitably attired for a fash bash all eyes were most certainly on the bride who wore a brilliantly bonkers cut out creation by Pam Hogg. The yellow haired designer herself was even on hand throughout the day to oversee the MANY layers of the dress.
But is Mary's dress the most fashionable bridal gown of all time? Surely other contenders include Kate Moss who wed her hubby Jamie Hince last year in a John Galliano dress or Margherita Missoni who wed in June wearing an OTT Missoni silk and organza gown. And finally, Mary must compete with Dazed magazine's Katie Shillingford who tied the knot in 2011 wearing a bluish grey Gareth Pugh creation (no traditional white wedding for this fashion editor!) complete with pink hair and makeup by Alex Box of Illamasqua.
Bride wars is on!
