Naomi Watts and Florence Welch
As if there hasn't been enough glitz and glamour going down in Venice this week, the Miu Miu crew decamped to the Film Festival to premiere their series of short films last night. The stylish likes of Naomi Watts (in Prada) and Florence Welch (in Miu Miu) took their seats to watch the Women’s Tales, screened together for the first time.
The short films, by four leading international female directors, combines credible filmmaking themes and a strong feminine point of view with fashion. From ‘The Powder Room’, directed by Zoe Cassavetes and ‘Muta’, directed by Lucrecia Martel to ‘The Woman Dress’, directed by Giada Colagrande, and ‘It’s Getting Late’, directed by Massy Tadjedin, each one touches on the theme of being a woman.
Gemma Arterton, Patricia Clarkson, Aubrey Plaza, Rinko Kikuchi and Maya Sansa form the all-female casts and each leading lady is adorned with the brand's fabulous designs. The films have also taken us to LA as well as London and even a witches’ cavern and a mysterious ship.
Excitingly, there's more Women’s Tales films to come and details will be released soon. You can watch all four films from the first chapter below and they're also living on www.miumiu.com alongside exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
