Kate Hudson On Becoming A London Girl: 'I've Got The Right Boots and Umbrella!' EXCLUSIVE

31 August 2012 by

Kate Hudson may have shimmered in her cobweb Atelier Versace gown on the opening night of the Venice Film Festival, but the star of 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' says she's now a dressed down London girl at thanks to her rocker fiance, Matt Bellamy of Muse.

Kate recently relocated from LA to London, along with the couple's 13 month old son Bingham, and 8 year old Ryder, her son from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

"I am so settled into the UK," she exclusively told Grazia Daily. "The best thing for me is that Bing is getting to know both sides of where he comes from and that is so important to a child, he's half British after all."

Since the actress is often snapped out with London-based BFFs Kate Moss and Stella McCartney, it looks like the stylish pair have helped Hudson with her Brit-over.

"I'm totally getting into the London vibe," Kate confided. "It used to be like two weeks of rain and I was, 'I have to get out of here, I'm a California girl', but now there's two weeks of rain and I'm totally into it, I'm going walking with the boys, we've got the right boots, and I've managed to find the perfect umbrella. "

The right wellies - Hunter, we suspect, or Kate Middleton's favourites, Le Chameau - are also essential for Kate's rural retreat she shares with Bellamy:

"We also have a farm now to escape to which is just heaven for the boys. I just love living in the UK."

No doubt we'll be seeing K-Hud, her wellies and brolly at Glastonbury 2013...
