News that Savannah Miller – sister to Sienna – is set to launch a new fashion line which will be available to buy in Europe and the US from November this year has made us come over all nostalgic. In the mid-naughties, we were big fans of Sienna and Savannah’s fashion line Twenty8Twelve which launched in July 2007. Renowned for that boho chic look (witness it in the gallery above), Sienna and her big sis turned fashion icon status into profit and were often seen wearing their own designs on the red carpet.
But earlier this year both Savannah and Sienna announced that they were stepping down as co-creative directors of their fashion label saying, 'We've had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.'

We now know what those ‘new pastures’ were all about. With Sienna ensconced in new motherhood with her toy-boy beau Tom Sturridge, Savannah’s decision to go it alone seems practical – especially when you consider that she holds a first class degree in knitwear from famed London fashion college Central Saint Martins and that she has worked for Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch and Matthew Williamson, amongst others.
With collection previews not scheduled until next week, we can only predict what Savannah might have up her sleeve. Bets on that there will be a fair few red carpet ready frocks and kick-ass skinny jeans (two things the Twenty8Twelve label was known for), but we can also expect Savannah’s specialty to shine through with plenty of knitwear on offer.
We’ll be back with updates as soon as we set out eyes on the new line!
