Victoria's Secret Arrives On New Bond Street: First Look Inside The Store

29 August 2012 by

London's getting a sexy new makeover thanks to Victoria's Secret. At 10am this morning, the lingerie and loungewear brand finally opened their first UK store on New Bond Street after years in the making. Victoria's Secret PINK had previously opened in Westfield but now, we have the full whammy of wonderfulness on UK soils.

The store is possibly the sexiest on the block, black glass covering the exterior, crystal chandeliers, a mirrored staircase spanning across the three floors and the largest flat screen TV we have ever seen at the back of the building. The top floor is cornered off for VIPs and angels only, and although there was no sign of current angels Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima or Alessandra Ambrosio the extra luxurious fitting rooms each accompanied with a toilet, sofa, plush carpet and luxurious wallpaper will make any normal bystander feel just like an Angel.

The opening didn't happen overnight, the brand has been waiting 11 years for the lease to come up on the building, formally the Pringle store. It clearly is one of the hottest properties on the street, a corner space with its double window selling space at a whopping 40,386 square foot.

We can only expect a big expansion now in Europe, but here in the UK we can’t wait to see the Angels when they celebrate the launch of the store this winter. Let's hope they put on one of their epic catwalk shows!
