Miley Cyrus Accused Of Going Punk With Cropped Hair, But Has She Always Been A Rock Chick At Heart?

Two weeks ago Miley Cyrus set Twittersphere on fire when she documented her brand new haircut in pictures. The singer had only just dyed her brunette locks platinum blonde when she teamed up with celebrity snipper Chris McMillan to chop off her bob and replace it with a daring pixie crop. Whatever anyone else thought, and believe us this do definitely divided opinion, Miley was thrilled with the results tweeting 'Never felt more me in my whole life. If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. My hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye! :)'

But while we've always loved a classic crop - Emma Watson, Halle Berry and Michelle Williams all spring to mind - we think what Miley is referring to when she says she feels herself is her punk makeover. Following in the follicles of Agyness Deyn, Pixie Geldof and Rihanna the former Disney star has asserted her rock chick status with a bottle of bleach and a risky haircut. Luckily for the Miley, the results have paid off - she looks fierce!

It’s not been too much of a stretch for Miley to complete her transformation as despite being the offspring of a country singer, she’s always been a rock ‘n’ roll girl at heart and wardrobe. During a recent day in New York City her ensemble consisted of denim cut-offs, an army shirt, black patent Dr Martens and lashings of gold jewellery, but apart from the new hair it's wasn’t that far removed from the leather-clad off-duty looks she's been sporting for years. But you know when this girl hits the red carpet she’ll be back to full length gowns, sparkle and stilettos, pixie crop or no pixie crop.
