Forget Rihanna's derriere for a moment and take five to drool over Bambi Northwood and Sean Opry looking all mean'n'moody for Armani Jeans' latest campaign offering. Photographer Takay takes the lens for the brand's edgy Autumn Winter 2012 shoot which sees the gorgeously eyebrowed duo decked out in denim (natch). And now, we've been treated to a video and a super-cool soundtrack to accompany the images.
The denim hero has just dropped off this black-and-white film starring Bambi as a pop princess complete with red lippy, a glitzy tiara in her windswept hair and a guitar dangling around her neck. Meanwhile, Mr Opry's looking mighty fine channelling the '50s with a slicked-back quiff that'd make Kenickie squirm.
But most excitingly, Armani has teamed up with The Vaccines (www.thevaccines.co.uk) for the promo video. Yep, the campaign's aforementioned soundtrack is provided by the Brit band, who've just released their second album Come Of Age, to really drive home that indie edge.
The song is called A Lack Of Understanding and comes from their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? which was released last year. Oh, how we love it when fashion brands go all rock 'n' roll on us (also see Burberry and Gucci).
So check out the short film below and keep on scrolling for what those Vaccines boys had to say about joining the Armani clan..
Grazia Daily: Why do you think your music was the perfect fit for the campaign?
The Vaccines: All good pop music feels youthful and vibrant. That’s how we try to approach songwriting. That’s an important part of fashion too.
Grazia Daily: Would you like to feature in an Armani Jeans campaign yourself?
The Vaccines: I don't think we have really thought about it...
Grazia Daily: What is it that you like most about Armani Jeans?
The Vaccines: The same thing that I like about good music. Art and aspiration. And Armani is timeless and classic.
Grazia Daily: If you could have just one Armani item, which one would it be?
The Vaccines: I've always loved the suits...
Grazia Daily: What would you say to Giorgio Armani if you met him?
The Vaccines: Ciao.
