Lea Michele Tweets Pic of Herself In Big Dress On Glee Set - How Does It Compare To Gossip Girl and Sex And The City?

We don't know about you but we're getting pretty excited about Glee series four and by the looks of things so is one of the show's biggest stars, Lea Michele. In fact she and Glee's creator Ryan Murphy have been very busy bees over the last few weeks of filming. The pair have tweeted pictures of guest stars, wardrobe choices and promotional posters from on set and provided plenty of teasers to build our anticipation of what we can expect next from the show.

Grazia previously reported how Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker are both making cameos in the new series, Hudson as a dance teacher and SJP as a journalist and it seems Lea and her character Rachel Berry may have taken a few tips from the A-list ladies about how to have that perfect princess moment on screen. Yesterday the actress tweeted pictures of herself in costume wearing a selection of huge dresses, including one so big that it caused her to topple over. The first pic reminds us of the dresses Carrie Bradshaw wears in Paris including the green dress she wore in the episode where Big comes to her rescue after a fight with Aleksandr Petrovsky.

Meanwhile, the white dress Lea wears in the second pic looks very much like a wedding dress - does this mean that Rachel and her boyfriend Finn (Lea's real life lover Cory Monteith) could be headed up the aisle? Whatever the storyline, there's no mistaking the similarity between Lea in this meringue dress and the scene between Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars where the actresses fight it out wearing bridal gowns. Not the most practical of scrapping outfits we'll admit.

Gossip Girl has always been a great source of high drama dresses. One of our particular faves is the enormous pink ruffled ball gown worn by Leighton Meester as she filmed in the middle of New York City. This was the ultimate princess moment as her character, Blair Waldorf had just married a Prince. Speaking of royalty, we couldn't discuss oversized dresses without giving a mention to Kirsten Dunst's amazing wardrobe in Marie Antoinette. You could definitely smuggle a cake or two under those gowns!
