Jazzabelle's Diary is the personal style blog of Londoner Jazmine Rocks. This girl has some serious secondhand shopping skills and offers plenty of inspiration for how to look stylish on a budget. Dreamy photography comes courtesy of Jazmine's mum, most of which is shot in and around the capital. Read our Q&A to find out more about Jazmine and why she loves blogging...
How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for just under two and a half years, I started Jazzabelle's Diary back in March 2010.
Grazia Daily: What made you decide to start your blog?
Jazmine: I decided to start a blog after attending a preview of an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. I was so inspired by many pieces on display that I just had to write about it to let others know how wonderful the exhibition was. Then I decided that my blog would be a place for me to share my personal style, secondhand finds and day to day life.
Grazia Daily: What’s been your highlight so far?
Jazmine: As cliché as it sounds, I have met some wonderful people since I started my blog and I can happily say that I've definitely made some friends for life.
Grazia Daily: Are there any particular perks of blogging?
Jazmine: I have to say, that I didn't read style blogs before I started my own, so when I was first offered to be gifted with an item of clothing and invited to my first event it was quite a surprise! It really is lovely to work and collaborate with brands which I love, in the past I've worked with Bertie, Asos and Tabio.
Grazia Daily: Have you been to London Fashion Week?
Jazmine: I've been three times in the past and will most likely be attending this September. It's always a great excuse to dress up a little and spend time with my friends around Somerset House.
Grazia Daily: Blog brag time - why should people read your blog?
Jazmine: I believe that my blog is rather different from others out there, mainly because I focus more on secondhand fashion rather than the general high street fashion or current trends. I don't particularly spend much on the majority of clothes, so I show that you can still look stylish without spending more than a couple of pounds on a new top or a pair of shoes!
Grazia Daily: What advice do you have for anyone starting a blog?
Jazmine: My only piece of advice is simply to be yourself and to find your own style. Having a good camera and somebody who doesn't mind taking your pictures (my mum takes mine!) always helps too!
Grazia Daily: Which other fashion blogs do you love?
Jazmine: What Olivia Did, Snippets of Shiny Thoughts, It's Cohen, Wish Wish Wish, I Want You To Know, Park & Cube and She Loves Mixtapes.
