Beyoncé Embraces Wild Side In New House Of Deréon Campaign - But How Does It Compare To Solange's Madewell Debut?

With sleek straight hair and not a smidgen of post-baby weight, Beyoncé struts her stuff through the desert in the latest campaign for the Knowles family fashion line, House of Deréon. The usually polished singer is definitely channelling the spirit of rock 'n' roll in a leather jacket, cut out dress and leopard print thigh-splitting maxi skirt complete with black wide-brimmed hat perched haphazardly at an angle. Girl gone wild!

While anyone who watched MTV in the ‘90s would be forgiven for recalling the Spice Girls ‘Say You’ll Be There' video when they hear the words ‘desert’, ‘leather’ and ‘leopard print' in quick succession, we actually think that the latest HoD collection is way more in keeping with Beyoncé's own personal style than previous seasons. The mother-of-one does love herself a chic pair of printed trousers and she's frequently been papped wearing round sunglasses when in off-duty mama mode.

We don't like pitting sisters against each other, but as the HoD ads were released the same week as Solange's Madewell debut, we have to ask how the two campaigns compare. While you've got to love it when Beyoncé embraces her sexy side like a true diva, Solange just pips her to the post when it comes to cool-factor. It's not difficult to see why when Beyoncé's younger sibling took the Madewell reigns from none other than Williamsburg-based style icon Alexa Chung. Solange pulls off colour popping separates and clashing prints like a pro and manages to look supermodel-esque (check out those pins!) and relaxed all at once.

All in all, it's been one hell of a fashionable week for the Knowles sisters!
