At 83 years old, Yayoi Kusama is arguably Japan's most famous living artist. A recluse, who suffers from severe anxiety disorder and who has voluntarily since 1977 chosen to live in a psychiatric hospital in her native Japan - who would have thought she would have been given free reign by Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs to 'graffiti' the classic monogram and vernis handbags. But we love it and have kind of been obsessed by the collection since it first went into store last month. But this week sees the launch of the full collection of scarves, bags, shoes, dresses and trench coats go on sale in the UK so we thought we would get into the spirit.
