Following Cheryl Cole going all cartoonish on us in a Batman-tastic frock last night, we bring you the thrilling news that Minnie Mouse is set to hit London Fashion Week. Well, she IS one of Disney's - nay, the WORLD'S! - most beloved and enduring cultural icons, right?

Inspired by her unique and distinctive style, an array of top-notch designers will create ‘Minnie Mouse Must Haves’ - aka: one-off garments and accessories to be unveiled at LFW. We're talking Giles Deacon, Michael van der Ham, Richard Nicoll, Piers Atkinson, Bunney, Husam el Odeh all giving Minnie Mouse a fashion-ey spin. Cuuute! Check out a few of the sketches in the gallery above.

'Minnie Mouse and her unique style continue to inspire fans across the world. We’re thrilled to collaborate with such visionaries to create these one-off designs,' said Marc Low, vice president of Fashion and Home for The Walt Disney Company. 'London Fashion Week is the perfect stage for Disney, one of the world’s largest apparel brands, to put a spotlight on Minnie Mouse.' OMG, this is really happening.

We, for one, can't get enough of those pwetty polka dots and hair bows and Minnie's iconic silhouette is just as relevant today as it was when she first arrived in our lives back in 1928. Not only has she inspired trend-setter types like Lady Gaga but the Disney star has even inspired designs by Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino Cheap & Chic.

Oh, and in MORE exciting news, we've been tantalised with the prospect of an 'extraordinary collaboration' with Meadham Kirchhoff that will be revealed at their Spring/Summer 2013 show. Does this mean Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart will make a catwalk appearance?
