In need of a post-Closing-Ceremony pick-me-up? Then look no further than Opening Ceremony! We’re talking of course about the fashion brand, which has kept shopping athletes fully pumped this summer by setting up pop-up shop in London’s Covent Garden. OC is a cult go-to store at any time, but they’ve been collaborating with all shades of other brilliant labels (Topshop, Adidas Originals and Delfina Delettrez to name a few) to bring you the fittest get-fit-inspired wardrobe a gal could possibly want, so you can imagine, its medal winning stuff.
And now, to coincide with the end of this wondrous moment in history, the cult New York collective has launched a magazine, OC Annual. As to be expected by measuring the cool crowd that surround OC’s founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, it’s not only limited-edition-special, but the magazine is chock-full of awe-inspiring contributors and genius stories. This debut issue is aptly dedicated to sports, so you’ll get a good (and rather stylish) look at athletes shot by iconic photographers such as Bruce Weber. You’ll see Gaia Repossi doing yoga, the British equestrian society fashioned up and even a sportswear-inspired photoshoot on New York’s Upper East Side featuring legendary model Pat Cleveland! And if the amount of ogling we’ve executed over Olympic nails, Ryan Lochte and all the different kits is anything to go by, we’ll need these beautiful 288 pages to ease our feelings of loss. So take a sneak peak at it in the gallery above.
Anyone else starting to think taekwando jackets are actually quite chic?
