'The hat was inspired by the amazing headdresses of Papua, New Guinea,' Stephen Jones told Grazia Daily of Jourdan's fabulous head gear. 'The large turkey feathers where dipped in resin and then metal plated for a spectacular effect.

'I was thrilled that Jourdan was wearing my golden halo as she is as exquisite in mind as in body and we have known each other since she first started modelling.

'Of course fashion should be included in the Olympics. Fashion is always a marathon series of hurdles and I'd be for the high jump if I didn't go for gold and come out swimming!'
