Sure, we can see how starring in films and selling out concerts could get tedious. Hell, if we were a famous actor/singer too we’d want to branch out into the fashion industry too! The latest pop prince to appear in a fashion campaign is none other than Zac Efron. All dolled up in his double denim, beanies and singlets, the John John Denim campaign (no, we hadn’t heard of John John denim either) shows the actor looking a little James Dean, and a little Jason Derulo circa “In my head” video. Not a huge leap out of the ordinary for Zac’s personal style.
Efron is by no means the only singer/actor getting involved – none other than our absolute favourite non Team GB eye-candy from the games, U.S swimmer Ryan Lochte is rumoured to be making his foray into the fashion industry too. The man with the glitzy diamond grill (yes, a grill) and stars and stripes hi-tops has received multiple requests to start a fashion line. Yes really!

Ryan would do well to take notes from some of the highest earning celebrity fashion lines: Perhaps he will take a leaf out of Justin Timberlake’s urban line, William Rast which earns about $50million annually. Or will be go all high-fash and design a range of handbags and dresses a la Victoria Beckham? Brand VB is estimated to earn approx. $95million a year, not too shabby eh?
The smartest move he could make however would be to twin-up with another Lochte and create an empire as impressive as the Olsen twins’. The Row, Olsenboye, and Elizabeth and James have a collective worth of $1 billion. Now that is a business model the swimming hottie should be studying.
