Kate Middleton Gets Stressed By Her 5 Outfit Changes A Day

01 August 2012 by

Gliding to Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List top spot for the third year in a row, the Duchess of Cambridge seems to be one of the most effortless style icons that planet fashion has ever seen. However, in an article to celebrate K-Middy’s fashion reign, Vanity Fair reveals that the DoC is in fact frazzled by her fashion schedule. The Duchess’ packed agenda means she has to change a reported 5 TIMES a day in order to conform to rigorous royal protocol so we can’t say we blame her for feeling a little stressed.

Having to keep up her ‘prudent princess’ rep while continuing to dazzle the unforgiving style press is no mean feat – it’s a bit like being on a sartorial tightrope strung between two skyscrapers.

So how does she manage to cope with the pressure? Grazia have previously revealed that while Kate refuses to employ a personal stylist, she does rely on her mum and sister to give her advice on what she wears. It also helps that the world’s fashion industry is begging for her patronage and that designers are happy to work with the Duchess to create looks to her taste – see Christopher Kane’s Sloanified coat–dress worn by the Duchess last week to the Olympic Opening Ceremony. We also have to remember that her budget is somewhat more generous than most – having spent a reported £35,000 on clothes in just six months, cash constraints are certainly not a problem for the bargain-loving princess.

In saying that we are exhausted just thinking about 5 outfit changes in day – TBH we find it difficult enough to decide what to wear to the office. So credit where credit’s due, K-Middy is not only a princess – she’s also the Queen of style!
