The Duchess of Cambridge already looked picture perfect in a preppy Smythe blazer and Stuart Weitzman wedges when she watched Prince William's cousin Zara Phillips compete at the equestrian events in Greenwich Park today, but she has just stepped out in an ultra glamorous lavender dress by London Fashion Week designer Roksanda Ilincic to attend the UK's Creative Industries Reception this evening.
We spoke to Roksanda for her reaction and naturally she is delighted with Kate's choice of dress: “Catherine has a real elegance, so it was such a pleasure to see her wearing her Peridot dress again. The dress is sophisticated yet has a softness as well, so I think it suits her understated style perfectly”.

Tonight is the second time in the last week that Kate has favoured a London-based designer for a public event as you'll remember she wore Christopher Kane to the Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony. This time the piece is one that she's showcased before. She was last spotted wearing the flattering Roksanda dress on her 2011 royal tour, which goes to show that the Duchess is a champion fashion recycler.

Earlier in the day Kate wore her hair loose in glossy curls, but for the reception this evening she has it pinned back to show off her beautiful Kiki McDonough earrings.

Hosted by the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt MP at the Royal Academy of Arts, Kate joins the Prime Minister David Cameron, supermodel Lily Cole, designer Vivienne Westwood and Fashion East founder Luly Kennedy for the event which celebrates UK creativity. It will be attended by 800 people including key figureheads from the creative industries. Sounds like Kate's got a lot of hands to shake!
