We don’t know if you’ve heard but apparently there’s this little thing called the Olympics coming up… We think it’s going to be a pretty big deal. And last night, marking the start of the Olympic party season was the Sports For Peace ball held at the wonderful V&A. Thanks to the sun which was actually shining for once guests were treated to a champagne reception in the museum’s court-yard before being ushered inside for a three course dinner hosted by Sir David Frost in honour of the world famous former boxer Mohammed Ali.
Guests such as Sir Bob Geldof and Caprice dined on Seabass and wonderfully cooked lamb. We got to have a quick word with Sir Bob himself who admitted that he’s perhaps not looking forward to the upcoming sporting event of the year. ‘I think it’s great it’s happening,’ he said of the Olympics, ‘But I’m not really into sport. I’ll watch some of the opening ceremony though as I’ve heard it’s going to be amazing.’ Fair enough, at least he’s honest.
An ever so tiny Lewis Hamilton was also in attendance without the presence of his on / off girlfriend X Factor judge Nicole Schertzinger. The couple are thought to have fallen out recently after Lewis was pictured heading to a party with several young ladies. Oops!
