Kate Middleton Wore Blue Zara Jeans To Greet The Olympic Torch At Buckingham Palace

26 July 2012 by

It's no secret that Kate Middleton's a fan of literal dressing (a white frock for the tennis, a cowboy hat for the rodeo) so we were rather hoping that, to welcome the Olympics torch to Buckingham Palace this afternoon, the Duchess would wear a gold metallic outfit topped off with a flame-shaped fascinator.

Instead, the 30-year-old joined hubby Prince William and his bro Harry at the event wearing a simple white airtex shirt with skinny jeans and black wedged pumps. Ah well, those cobalt blue jeans are pretty hot.

And just when we thought Wills and Hazza wearing coordinating belts was enough matchy-matchy excitement for one day, we can confirm every member of the royal trio was wearing official Adidas Team GB apparel. What a sight!

Thanks to our pals at What Kate Wore, we know Kate's jeans come from Zara and were on sale for just £12.99. Yep, another high street hit for the thrifty Duchess who was spotted kicking a football about earlier today in a frock from Hobbs. As for those wedges, they are Stuart Weitzman's Corkswoon design.
