If you think metallics should be confined to Christmas party dressing think again! For it's never been cooler to rock a little razzle-dazzle, just ask Cat Deeley whose gleam-tastic trousers initially divided the Grazia office this week...but after much debate we deemed her high-shine red carpet look chic rather than eek! It was Cat's simple black blouse and pointy courts that saved her outfit from space-age territory, for when it comes to metallics- less is most definitely more!
So, how do you pull off the metallics trend without looking like a disco ball or sci-fi film extra? Here are our foolproof tips...
Try bare legs with a metallic frocks this summer, they've become a red carpet favourite in recent months and we reckon they're an irresistible combo in deed- plus they go brilliantly with all skin tones- so no fake tan required!! Just make sure you keep jewellery to a minimum and your hair and make-up relaxed.
But you don't have to go full throttle to get involved in the metallics trend... as expertly demonstrated by Kate Middleton and Poppy Delevigne, a pair of gold or silver shoes are ample sparkle for a glam evening look, or why not try a sparkly sequin cover-up a la Olivia Palermo, her French Connection one is ideal for throwing over daytime outfits when the sun goes down, and festival looks alike.
