Rag & Bone Open London Store and Join London Fashion Week Schedule!

As the countdown to London Fashion Week begins we have had even more good news as New York based uber-hip brand Rag & Bone has announced it will be showing at London fashion week.

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright - the British design duo behind the NY hipster’s favourite label - will present their S/S 2013 collection at the brand's new Sloane Square store this September. The store, due to open later this month is spread across 4000 square ft and will offer the full collection of men’s and women’s lines. All exposed brick and brass, the former bank building has been given a downtown NY make-over.

So what can shoppers expect to find? Rag & Bone have become a favourite with celebs like Emma Stone, Beyonce and Katie Holmes because of their low key yet chic take on street fashion. R&B are particularly strong on outerwear and denim (the brand started off as a jeans line) and have come up with some serious hero items like the Newbury boots and seasonal must have printed jeans.

While the main catwalk presentation will take place before the intimate shop showcase at LFW, the shop and show mark a home-coming for Neville and Wainwright who met at boarding school in Berkshire. David – now married to uber make-up artist Gucci Westman – and Marcus have built their business in New York’s Meatpacking District but as David said in a statement yestercday both are, “Thrilled to finally open a store in London.” He also paid tribute to R&B’s loyal band of British followers saying,  “It's exciting to present a collection for the first time in our home town and for it to take place in our own store feels really special. Showing during LFW will further strengthen our presence in Europe and, of course, it's lovely to be able to filter it directly to customers in the UK who have supported Rag & Bone since the beginning."

Rag & Bone marks another addition to the London schedule coming in the wake of new that Preen another designer twosome Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi – will be returning to London Fashion Week this season. And while Olymp-mania has gripped the country, we have to confess we’re already getting pretty excited about September’s fashion offerings.
