We almost combusted with excitement when we heard Rihanna, Henry Holland AND Nicola Roberts are teaming up for a brand new fashion TV show. To heighten the hype, there have been a zillion sneaky Twit pics from behind the Styled To Rock scenes (mainly involving the trio getting up, close and smoochy). There have been rumours that Cheryl Cole will make an appearance as a fashion adviser. Ooh! And we know the winning designer is tasked with creating Ri-Ri's outfit at Wireless Festival which, err, took place at the weekend. Anyway! The Internet gods have treated us to a snippet of Rihanna's small-screen debut thanks to an "exclusive first look" (scroll down to watch) so what else have we learnt about the show from the 32-second trailer?
It's a reality show with a twist. Rather than another Project Runway with contestants frantically stitching sequins together, this show focuses not only on design but also on styling. The group of young contestants are given assignments to design AND style for a string of stars who are yet to be revealed.
We love Rihanna's mentor style. 'You are dope,' she says to one contestant while dressed in dungarees, which is followed by 'you're the bomb.' Simon Cowell, she ain't and we can't WAIT for more of her insightful feedback.
Meanwhile, Lysa Cooper is tough. Meet the stylist behind Ri-Ri's wonderful wardrobe. With stern black-rimmed glasses, matching dark lipstick, Solange-tastic hair and fighting talk ('they better bring their A game', par example), she's the toughie on the panel.
Henry's quiff is bigger than ever. And we didn't think that was possible. Plus: doesn't he look perky in those trademark spots?
We miss Rihanna's blonde hair. She's changed her hairdo, ooh, about eleventy times since filming these episodes but in the trailer, Ri's golden-hued tresses are in full swing and adorned with a black baseball cap — worn backwards, obvs.
And, err, that's all we got. But! Stay tuned as more tantalising teasers emerge before the show launches on Sky Living next month. In the meantime, why not tell us what you're looking forward to from the show...
