Alexa Chung Bags Another Campaign And Looks Sixties Perfect For Maje

Oh Alexa Chung, how do you do it? Not only were you the coolest girl on the menswear block this weekend thanks to your knit + leather skirt combo, but now you're posing up a storm for Maje and looking nothing short of a Sixties film star.

Alexa Chung Bags Another Campaign And Looks Sixties-tastic For Maje

After fronting campaigns for Superga, Pepe Jeans and Vero Moda, the Brit style hero can today add 'face of Maje's Autumn Winter 2012' campaign to her impressive CV, but we have to say: these black-and-white images for the French brand are particularly mesmerising. Doesn't she bear an uncanny resemblance to Jane Birkin, the actress who famously influences Alexa's style aesthetic?

Admittedly, the French fancy vibe is partly thanks to our Chungers being shot by Glen Luchford in the early morning light at the Porte des Lilas subway station in Paris. How utterly dreamy. In the two shots we've been treated to so far, Alexa can be seen slouching on a train while working a tousled mop of hair that'd make Carine Roitfeld jealous with her shaggy fringe framing those cat-like eyes, slightly freckled nose and non-pouty pout. 'Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock ’n’ roll,' the brand tells WWD. Well, we couldn't have put it better ourselves.

We can expect to see Alexa doing her style icon thing when she hits up Maje's party this evening at the Ritz Paris to celebrate the new campaign no doubt wearing something suitably Parisian-esque. But! Can we expect a Chung x Maje collection we wonder? After all, Vanessa Traina previously appeared in several of the ad campaigns and designed a capsule range for the brand. We can totally see a collection of androgynous jackets, black lace dresses and laidback jumpers that are the perfect synchronisation of the two. For now, all we can do is hope...
