Beyond Retro's girls get physical for S/S'12...

Oh those Beyond Retro kids, they’re always at least three sartorial steps ahead of the rest of hipster-filled East London. A beacon of coolness: if they so choose to put varsity jackets on the rails of their vintage emporium then you can bet your skinny flat white that soon enough celebrities and fashion-conscience people will be throwing away biker jackets quicker than Lana Del Rey's album. Or how about this example -  did you think that ‘90s floral dress thing just came outta nowhere last summer? No no, dears. It was was down to forward thinking vintage purveyors just like Beyond Retro. The original Chesire Street store is THE mega mecca for finding a huge variety of brilliantly priced retro buys, so it's no wonder they have an impact on London’s most trend-setting postcodes.

Go the whole 100m style sprint or just hint to the sporty trend with a sweatshirt.

What's their latest focus? Fitness. How do you currently feel about the suggestion that vintage sportswear could become your next summer fix? Will you be calling 118 118 or the fashion police? Are track jackets and cycling shorts better left in the sweaty past? Or is there some potential chicness considering Nike’s very retro Oceania and New Balance's classic sneakers are suddenly way cool? Maybe Jane Fonda - the leotard years – is your secret style inspiration?  Either way, Beyond Retro have sent out an entire press release (complete with fun times dressing up pics you can see here) which means it will mostly likely take off in time for the Olympics. Really, who needs functional and modern hi-tec garb when you’re simply channelling the catwalk version of sportswear anyways...
