When season one of President Obama’s favourite show (yes, really. He even has a deal with Showtime to get the boxsets early) 'Homeland' came to an end last month, the only thing on everyone’s lips at the work watercooler the next day was ‘OMG!’. It’s the show that made us fall in love with Claire Danes again and come in to Grazia GQ every week saying, ‘can you believe what happened!?’ The US series has already won a Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Television Series and we’re confident it will scoop up more critical acclaim with the second season.
The series finale saw Claire Danes’ character Carrie Mathison agree to undergo Electroshock Therapy and realise that Agent Brody (Damian Lewis) does, in fact, have motive to be the turned Prisoner of War while she does it. Will anyone believe her? Will she make the connection? We also saw Brody shoot fellow POW Tom Walker to prove his loyalty to Abu Nazir.
Now, just when we got over all of that, Showtime have released a set of ten second teaser trailers for the second season which is set to air on September 30th in the US and later in the year in the UK. The clips show the main character’s in black and white with a cryptic soundbite - oh the drama! Carrie says ‘you wait. You lay low. Then you come to life’ while Brody hears Abu Nazir saying ‘why kill one man when you can kill an idea?’
We don’t know about you but we can’t wait. Watch the teasers below…
