It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for Cheryl (formerly Cheryl Cole) is going on tour! The Geordie singer who has so far released one single from her eagerly anticipated fourth album will be playing nine arena dates this autumn. Starting in Belfast on October the 3rd and ending in her hometown on Newcastle on October 17th – we presume this is so her Mum can cook her a nice big dinner to celebrate its completion.
But the most important question on everybody’s lips (after whether she’s going to sing live or not) is who’s going to design her costumes? Her fluro Pamm Hogg number for Sunday’s Summertime Ball had the nation aghast, whilst her custom-made Roberto Cavalli trousers for her appearance on The Voice made us all wish it was just that little bit sunnier outside - tropical print doesn’t have quite the same kudos in the pouring rain. Nothing has been announced yet which means designers may still be free to suggest their designs for the pint-sized pop star.
Cheryl announced the news on her website this morning saying, ‘The news you've all been waiting to hear! Cheryl has just announced her first solo nationwide arena tour, with dates up and down the UK and Ireland this October.' CC super-fans out there will notice that the tour ends just in time for the Girls Aloud ten year reunion in November. Cheryl has recently alluded to the possibility of the girls reconciling. She told Chris Moyles, ‘It's out tenth birthday in November and we want to do something to celebrate.’ We’re guessing she doesn’t mean your standard party and a few balloons celebration either!
