We loved her when her debut single ‘New In Town’ came out, when she topped the BBC Sound of 2009 poll AND received a Critics’ Choice nomination at the BRIT Awards – and now Little Boots is back! Exciting for us, the singer is premiering her brand-new music video right here, right now, on Grazia Daily. What a treat!
Her newest single ‘Headphones’ brings back that signature '80s-inspired electro-pop sound and catchy lyrics that we first fell in love with (trust us, you’ll be singing ‘I’ll wear my headphones to the disco’ for Friday nights to come). As for the video, it sees her clad in new collection pieces from House of Holland and Felder Felder, plus she's accessorising her fab ensembles with silver platform Terry de Havilland shoes. Ah-mazing.
Oh, and check out the 28-year-old’s shorter blonde bob. How chic! The video also sees La Boots dancing about during an underground party, which reminds us of those heady days when we'd throw some shapes to her catchy tunes all those years ago.
So what's the inspiration behind the video? ‘It was partly from the wim wenders film 'Paris Texas' and the idea of a peep show revolving around headphones and listening to music as opposed to talking,' she exclusive told us. 'The idea is that everyday characters enter a booth and on listening to the song their extrovert selves appear in the reflection, so the song is a way of releasing their inner selves and setting the crazier side of them free. We wanted to create an energetic party atmosphere to fit the song whilst avoiding the clichés of a lot of current club themed videos.’
