Kristen Stewart's Style Transformation Continues Thanks To Vanity Fair: VIDEO

It was only a few weeks ago that Grazia Daily was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over Kristen Stewart's faboosh wardrobe during the Cannes Film Festival. We gawped in wonder at her stunning Reem Acra frock as well as those those snazzy printed trousers and braved the breezy British weather to marvel at her Marchesa gown for the London premiere of 'Snow White and the Huntsman'. Yup, it seems that the Balenciaga Effect is having a positive influence on the young starlet since she was signed up as the face of the French brand's fragrance — and we like.

Today, our wonderment continues thanks to the new issue of Vanity Fair which sees K-Stew trussed up in a variety of couture stunners, sporting a Jean Gaultier corset and positively dripping in Fabergé diamonds (have a gawp through the gallery above). Our favourite female vampire has been shot for the US magazine by legendary snapper Mario Testino and she looks utterly gorgeous while swanning around the streets of Paris wearing a ginormous ballgown with a feathery hat a-top her head.

But it seems the actress still has a bee in her bonnet over those who criticise her red carpet appearances. In the interview that accompanies these stunning shots, Kristen says, ‘I look like shit in half my photos, and I don’t give a fuck. I get some serious shit about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker!’ Hmm, doth the lady protest too much? 'What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.’' Eek.

Even her Twilight co-star and not-confirmed-but-definitley-boyfriend Robert Pattinson has waded into the debate. 'People have decided how they are going to perceive her,' he says. 'No matter how many times she smiles, they’ll put in the one picture where she’s not smiling.' We hear your point, R-Pattz, but honestly Kristen can look pretty attitude-y when she's working the red rug — but perhaps that's all part of her badass image?

Either way, it's clear her personal style is evolving. 'Look at a picture of me before I was 15. I am a boy,' she says. 'I wore my brother’s clothes, dude! Not like I cared that much, but I remember being made fun of because I wasn’t wearing Juicy jeans. I didn’t even think about it. I wore my gym clothes. But it’s not like I didn’t care that they made fun of me. It really bothered me. I remember this girl in sixth grade looked at me in gym and was like, ‘Oh my God! That’s disgusting—you don’t shave your legs!' Aw, poor poppet.

Having the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Nicholas Ghesquière by your side certainly helps a girl's couture transformation. And if you need further proof, take a peek at K-Stew in this oh-so-fabulous behind-the-scenes video...
