It seems that being a stunning catwalker AND a Hollywood star isn't enough for Milla Jovovich. News reaches us that Milla is the latest model-turned-singer and is set to release 'Electric Sky', an electro pop love song. What a talented young lady!
The track will feature on Ms Jovovich's forthcoming album, which is set to launch in August. On her website, she describes her music as 'New Order-meets-Daft Punk-meets-Joni Mitchell-meets-Yo Gabba Gabba'. Ok then.
Of course, this isn't the first time Milla has worked her musical chops. Back in 1994, at the tender age of 16, she released an album called 'The Divine Comedy', which we're sure you ALL have on your iPod, right?
Milla isn't the only model to have crossed over to the world of music. Who could forget when Naomi Campbell released her single 'Love and Tears' in 1995? And we can't get enough of Karen Elson's dreamy sing-songing. But our favourite has to be when Agyness Deyn joined the band Five o' Clock Heroes for the single 'Who' and appaz she provided a voice over for Rihanna's catchy tune 'We Found Love'.
So get your hair brushes at the ready, warm up your vocal chords and sing-a-long to the top model-turned-singer videos below...
Agyness Deyn joined the bank '5 'o' Clock Heroes' singing and featuring on the video of 'Who'. The song didn't do too well and NME described the collaboration as "shamelessly nailing their rotting corpse to a sparkling celebrity wagon." Oh.
Heidi Klum released her debut single 'Wonderland' in 2006 - a christmas jingle which made it to number 13 in Germany.
Karen Elson launched her debut album in 2010, 'The Ghost Who Walks'. The model admitted that the song-writing process was a secretive and stressful affair. Apparantly she wrote her songs in the privacy of her walk-in wardrobe. It's alright for some...
Mossy has always had a thing for music/musicians having previously dating Pete Doherty and is now married to Jamie Hince of The Kills so it's no wonder the supermodel has dabbled in singing herself. Her vocals featured on Primal Scream's 'Some Velvet Morning' in 2003 and she also sang the title for The Babyshambles 'La Belle Et La Bete'. Could she BE any more perfect?
Naomi Campbell's first taste of music was aged 7 when she featured in Bob Marley's video of 'Is This Love'. She released her own album 'Baby Woman' in 1995 but the single 'Love And Tears' was a flop in the UK. Boo. But! It was a success in Japan. Yay!
The America's Next Top Model judge featured in music videos with both Michael Jackson and Tina Turner. The model then took the leap into the singing industry herself in 2004 when she released a single called 'Shake Ya Body'. Sadly for Tyra, the single flopped and her album was never released. What a waste!
